PUBG has been a very successful game startup in 2017. In fact so successful that the PUBG team has become a company, and according to game creator Brendan Greene PUBG will get more content for a long time. According to Steam Spy, 16.4 million people bought PUBG, and 16.3 million people played PUBG on October 14th. PUBG has been the most played game on Steam for a long time, and it seems like it will stay there for a lot longer. That number is going to grow a lot higher because PUBG is going to be released on the Xbox One soon. PUBG will not be released on the PS 4 for at least a few months.

Hitting the 2 million concurrent players puts PUBG far above other all-time high on Steam. For reference, a new release like Shadow of War only has about 50K concurrent players on Steam, At least with steam standards PUBG is totally killing it. Their goal of course seems to be much higher, PUBG creator Brendan Greene has previously said that he wants 100 million monthly players like League of Legends.
6000 Cheaters banned every day
It's a testament to the game's high-end and strict and updating anti-cheat system, which is banning more than 6,000 suspected cheaters every day. In total, the system has blocked more than 300,000 people, double the number that was reported by the game's creator Brendan Greene PlayerUnknown last month.
